Project Description:
Featuring works from the 1960s to the 2020s — decades marked by decolonisation, developmentalism, Cold War tensions, and sweeping social change — the exhibition illuminates how these artists forged paths that were as personal as they were political.
Our proposals sought to highlight the balance between femininity and strength through iterations which integrated soft curves, view-framing and acts of archival. Materials were selected to highlight the rawness of craft matching the tone of the exhibited artworks. Through simple interventions of space, different means of reading the works were created.
